Edit is coming along and we have found our composer! Freya Berkhout is a multi-award winning composer and singer and we’re so excited to have her talent on ‘Three Meals’!
July 2023
Thanks to you, we achieved 123% of our Seed & Spark fundraiser! The wheels are in motion for the recipe book and poster incentives, and the film is currently at Metropolis Post, getting developed. The cost of buying and developing the 16mm film is the highest ticket item after paying cast & crew, so please continue to donate so we can cover it!
The footage will then go to our fantastic editor, Kenneth Munoz, in LA and we start chipping away at this wonderful rock to turn it into a beautiful statue.
After that, it’s sound design and color. A separate cost, we hope to continue our post-production funding efforts to ensure we get to pay the great individuals who will polish the film and make it REAL!
June 2023
Festival season is off to a strong start! We have gotten into New York International Shorts, Reel Sisters of the Diaspora, Ambrosia Food Film Festival and Seoul International Food Film Festival! If you would like to attend the New York Premiere, as well as the Brooklyn Premiere, you can buy tickets here and here!
The film is almost finished! The Mill turned in an incredible colour grade and our wonderful sound mixer, Ronald Eng, prepped something for us that would be good enough to submit to festivals, so the submission mania has begun! Fine tuning some sound mixing and then it will be officially complete. Trailer coming soon…
Pre-production and production are a whirlwind. We are lucky enough to bring together some incredible professionals and our two shoot days in New Jersey are going to be magical. We can’t wait to show you what we make!
